My grandmother became one of Jamaica’s first women contractors and built nearly 30 homes, including one in the hills above Kingston in a place called Belgrade.
That home left a lasting impression on me and what a home can represent.
While she built homes, my work is centered on how they are lived in.
Belgrade was created to bring structure, support, and ease back to the home so it feels calm, functional, and easier to live in every day.
